KTM 200 Duke 2023
KTM India is gearing up to introduce the KTM 200 Duke 2023 edition of the 200 Duke in the Indian market. The brand has recently released a teaser for the updated motorcycle, indicating an imminent launch. Dealerships have also started receiving the new 200 Duke.

The teaser image reveals that the KTM 200 Duke 2023 will feature the LED headlamp borrowed from the 390 Duke. Apart from this change, no significant modifications are expected on the motorcycle. It is likely that the current 200 Duke will continue to be available alongside the new version, with the new model positioned above the existing one. Similar tactics were used by KTM to sell the 390 Adventure in four different configurations.

The current 200 Duke is priced at ₹1.93 lakh, and the new KTM 200 Duke 2023 is expected to have a price increase of around ₹5,000. In KTM’s lineup, the 200 Duke is now placed between the 125 Duke and 250 Duke. The most powerful Duke currently available is the 390 Duke, while the 790 Duke has been discontinued after a limited unit release in India.

The KTM 200 Duke 2023 will retain its 199.5 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, capable of producing 24.68 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 19.3 Nm at 8,000 rpm. It will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

In terms of features, the 200 Duke comes equipped with an LCD instrument cluster that provides vital information to the rider. In comparison, the 390 Duke boasts a TFT screen. The 200 Duke also offers dual-channel ABS. It will face competition from models such as the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250, and Suzuki Gixxer 250.

KTM is currently working on the next-generation 390 Duke, which will feature a sharper design compared to the current model. It will sport new bodywork and LED lighting elements, giving it a more muscular appearance. Additionally, there are expectations of an increase in engine displacement from 373 cc to 399 cc, resulting in higher power and torque outputs. The current 390 Duke delivers 43 bhp and 37 Nm of torque.
